Sunrise at Bamburgh Castle

Two shot's taken on Saturday morning.
The first was taken 30 minutes before the sun broke the horizon and the second just a few minutes before it did so. I had to decrease the saturation in the first image by about 25% as it was just too red. I used no filters for the first one but used a 1 stop, ND Grad for the second.

I love that 1st one David,i think the combo of see,clouds and shilluetted castle make for a great photo.

Wow, I love the sweeping colours in the sky in the first shot. How far down the beach did you go? I think last time I was there for a sunrise I didn't really think to go too far from the carpark (it was too dark and too many puddles!)

Two wonderful pictures, exposure & composition are spot on.

I was on a beach just above Bamburgh called Ross Sands - the first was taken with my Sigma 50-500 at 226mm the second was with my wideangle zoom at 44mm

No. 1 is a super shot David but no. 2 is the absolute antithesis of " w** inc " .
