B-17 Flight

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of taking a flight on a 1940's B-17 bomber. One of only eleven still flying. Needless to say, it was quite an experience. This one was flown by a group from Texas called the Texas Raiders, who maintain and fly this piece of history. The sound, smell, and plane itself, really take you back to another era. Hope the pictures do it justice.

Thanks everyone! Yes it was a blast.
@cicopo - yes it was pretty noisy. Had ear plugs in. Engines sound just like the ones in an old WW2 movie.
@Motor On - You had to reserve and pay for a spot. The group is non-profit and proceeds go to maintain and fly the plane.
