Lewana Stages Rally 2013

Hi all,
I spent last saturday in the Grimwade Forests, near Kirup in Southwest Western Australia, for the fourth round of the WA Rally Championship.

Leigh Hynes won the event outright, in the "Ranga" orange subaru, with 19 yr old Dylan King taking second place.

2WD was won by Sean Keating and Caleb Ash in their Nissan Sylvia.

The event was very slippery and muddy, and sections of SS3 were cut out, as they were too difficult to get through, many of the cars slid off the road and got stuck.

as always, comments, criticism and critiques are welcome, i did forget my Polariser, and there is some hotspots on some of the vehicles.

Nice collection of classic cars! The first seems a little flat to me but the rest are nicely done overall.

You may be right (it looks ok on my iPad, will check on a better monitor tommorow)
And I know why too.
I edited on my 24" cinema display, rather than the calibrated display on my 11" MacBook air.
I haven't setup a profile for the ACD yet (but had done for my old laptop)

I now have some profiling to do tommorow - thanks for the reminder !

And thanks for the comments too, it's been a while since I have been out in the forests (and this is my favorite event of the season too.

Thanks, I like #1 too - its my favorite pic from the day (and the same car in the same spot is my fave pic from last year too)

No #5 didn't grow foliage, he did just miss the main trunk, and hit the bank though - quite a few cars did, as the roads were very slippery (us West Aussies aren't used to rain)
He went through SS3 (the bump in pic #1, 2, 6, 7) and went through the deepest part of the muddy puddle on the road (30cm to the right of the correct line) and was the first of maybe 6 cars to cover me in muddy water.
What was a nice spot to stand last year was a trickling creek this year - the things we do for good pictures (next year I'm helping with stage clearing before the event, and tidying up a few photo locations)
