I just got a rectangular piece of plastic that just came out from the inside of my 5dmkII.
Also there was a metal frame hanging from the upper part, I put it back, but the plastic
rectangle maybe broken, not sure.
The camera functions perfect, but I dont see a full frame when looking in the eyepiece
I see a giant hole, so what should I do, send it to canon or some big camera store will do the trick???

thanks

Is it your focusing screen perhaps?

I take mine to one of the local camera stores and they take care of most of the repairs. That is where I usually start and then they advise me from there.

Trever Canon 7D, 24-70 F2.8L ii, Sigma 10-20 1:4-5.6 DC HSM, and a bunch of other little stuff to make light sorta work. Deviant (external link)

Definitely your focus screen, just turn the camera upside down, pull the carrier tab to release the screen holder, insert the screen back in (now of course you have to decide which way to orientate the screen, it only has 1 correct position), and push the carrier back up until it locks into place. Way less hassle and time than to take it to a shop. If you cannot figure it out, or mess it up somehow, then take it to a shop.

As much help as I can provide... :)

Just be very gentle with the screen - they damage/scratch fairly easily...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

That ship might have already sailed, especially if it was tossed around inside between the mirror and carrier. I wouldn't be surprised if both the focus screen and mirror had marks.

With a blower. Don't touch the surfaces with hot fingers. Hold by the edges.

Can it be cleaned with the same product that I use for my sensor ''visible dust and sensor cleaner liquid" ?

You'll probably wipe the focusing marks off of it....it's super fragile.

I think this is a time to buy a new focusing screen for your camera. I would think the one you have has been too abused already.
