I had to cheat on this one: since it was so late, there weren't enough people around for the effect I had in mind, so I stacked multiple shots. Even then, I had to ask my girlfriend to walk around randomly. So here's the question: does it seem obvious that the same person appears twice in this shot?

I think I would have preferred it without the people edited in to be honest...
As for your question, its fairly obvious that the two are the front are the same, the shoes give it away clearly.

Ok, cheers. Guess I'll have to go back at an earlier time then.

No one's going to notice unless you point it out. Even if it is the same person, I don't think it takes away from the photo at all.

Sorry, that sounded really harsh. Didn't mean to sound like that haha. If you are looking, the shoes give it away easily. But if you were just looking at it without anyone pointing at it most people wouldn't notice.

Oh no worries, I was hoping for a clear answer and it's exactly what I got, it's all good! I really am going to return at some earlier time of day. :)

Problem is a lot of people (courteous people) will move out of your way when you are trying to shoot :D Despite in this case you wanting them to walk infront!

Amusingly, nobody gives a crap if you just have a camera - but bring a tripod and suddenly everybody stays the hell away from you. Weird! :)

I like your picture and never would have noticed the same person because of the shoes. People here are really sharp!
