Great shots. Nice car! What I do not understand......... is why these American car companies are adding the (Flat Black) Stripe to these muscle cars..... IT looks like chinese spray paint!!!! Who in their right mind would want flat black paint like this on an expensive car????? I know it is a part of street culture, but NOTTTTT on a Brand new car.???? They need to clearcoat the black.....The sun is going to abuse the hell out of the flat black paint, and the elements are going to stain it....I know its off topic, but every time I see a new Challengr, Camaro, or Mustang, I have to ask.....Why the ****ty flat-black paint????
It is ruining the body! IMO.....I want solid-color Muscle!!! Like it used to be!!!! American marketing is bullsht!

Other than that... I Love the shots... #1, Great textures there, great lighting.

Sorta...but these were a very limited commodity compared to the civilian modification expert. Most of the most beautiful cars on the actual Mopar...Chevy....Ford...Ferrari.... Record....had (Solid paint jobs). Other than the ones with sponsors who were littered with decals.

Bottom line is... Even if Mopar chose to paint the stock color of "flat Black" Across the Cuda.....Their decision....(From an Automobile Art) Stance is still horrible. The car quoted.. is still an ugly specimen compared to many other (solid color) cars of its time. Its not just about the paint...its about how t he paint compliments the CAR! And Even that Cuda would look 10 times better with a solid paint job.

Oh man, you're killin' me! I love the "flat black" on these muscle cars. The flat black on the hoods (ie AAR, A12, Challenger T/A) was so the sun wouldn't glare in the drivers face. They are just continuing the tradition! Pix of my E bodies:

Nice rides, Jeff!
Then, just off the top of my head, there's the 69-71 Dodge Dart, Super Bee, Roadrunner, Charger-SE & Duster,...

The flat black is a decal, and can be removed easily much of the time.

The beauty of art (even 'automobile art') is that everyone gets to choose for themselves. Lots of things that are popular today I don't get, but I would not rant about them being horrible - because in other peoples eyes they are not, so who am I to say they are wrong?.
And BTW, you are not this first person to claim the use of flat black is a recent phenomenon and not true to the muscle car history - but you are still wrong about that.

Like it used to be?? How can you say that when you obviously show complete ignorance about american muscle car history? Thats how they were in the past!! Complete hoods were flat black for Gods sakes!
