Awesome paper, absolutely makes the right image pop, but boy...it sure is prone to very minor printing glitches (dead spots, scratches) and handling sensitivity. My printer (a person) has been giving me my work in protective plastic sleeves and we have determined the two don't play nice together, so he has changed to protective paper-like tissue, I don't recall its name, that seems to react like teflon.

Anyone out there familiar with this paper? Any observations? Issues? Handling remedies? Alternative paper?

Thx

This is obviously a very popular paper judging by the number of replies. My guess is its only used by those who wear $350 leather hiking boots. That might narrow the field ever so slightly.

Oh, as for alternative paper, have you tried Charmin? It's very soft and makes the right image pop, absolutely.

The mental image of that "Charmin" paper you recommend, is more than sufficient. Way too sufficient.

I've delved elsewhere in the web, to find out more. Mostly, the topic is a comparison of this paper to Kodak's wet processed paper version which was the rage and apparently is the litmus test in these reflective papers. I haven't fold any detail about the paper's sensitivity in handling.

I use Metalic Pearl from Red River paper for my metal prints, love it, no problems.
