Its finally done :)

Placed the order for the 6D kit from BH on the 1st. Waiting for the toy to arrive

With this, I am planning to make my kit simpler -
6D and 7D
24-105,100-400 and 50/1.4

I will get rid of my 12-24 Tokina and 20D.

Does it make sense to get a 16-35 to pair with the 6D for a true wide angle?

I would not be without an ultra wide angle; if you like shooting landscapes and automobiles (like at a car show) the 16-35 would be perfect! Can't wait to see some posts from that 6D.

16-35 is awesome on the 6D. I bought it to replace my 10-22, I've never regretted it.

Depends what you like to shoot.

Or consider the more affordable 17-40 L. It's an incredible lens too for a lot less cabbage.

I'm going to see how much I really miss the extra 16-24 range and decide between the 17-40 or the 16-35.

For now, I may retain the 12-24 as a backup for that range. Coming to think of it, it could be a long term arrangement!!
