To get the most out of the program I as looking to purchase a book on it. I see that Adobe sells one but I see a few other people sell them also. I.e. photoshop elements for dummies, visual quick start was the other publisher. Is anyone of these better than the other? I know the basic stuff but would like to be able to do more.

Thanks

Kevin

Take a look HERE (external link).

This is the one you want. If you want to save a buck go on e-bay and look at PSE
7,8,9 or 10 missing manual.

Thanks! I will try the download. I was at Barns and Nobles and saw the few I listed above but was not sure what was the best bang for the buck.

Elements is pretty quick to get started with -- for that I recommend the Scott Kelby book, he offers some great "easy read" material for beginners.

Then, Elements does have quite a good "tool set" that requires time to learn and develop "expertise" in. Martin Evening is a great "in depth" author. I would recommend getting started with Kelby and any on-line stuff you can find, but adding to your library as you go!

Hmm, on further thought I don't know if Martin Evening has a book/series on Elements, but still I'd start out with Kelby!:)

I have two books that work well together for learning and using PSE11.

The Photoshop Elements 11 Book For Digital Photographers
by Matt Kloskowski, Scott Kelby.
and
100 Ways To Cheat PSE11, great book as it give step by step instructions on things like replacing a bad sky, doing a 50's glam style and about 98 other fun things to do with PSE and your photos.

Remember, Stressed spelled backward is Desserts.:)
Suggestions welcome.
