Great shot and a he'll of a motif! Don't get locos like that in the UK.

Thanks John and everyone.

I am fairly new to the digital format, switched over from my Canon F-1/FD gear five years ago this month to a 30D with the lenses in my signature. I bought a new 50D body in August, and really like it - after I learned how to use it.

These two captures of Yellow-rumped Warblers were taken this month at home in my wild garden not far from the side porch where I set up with the tripod mounted 50D and older EF 100-400mm.

Photos were cropped 25% and tweaked with Picasa3.

Really good looking shots there Jonathan. I have a friend in BC who does paintings like this, if it's your thing too google Julia Hargreaves, you'll love her work.

I know it's only October, but it looks like Christmas is going to be pretty lean by us. At least we got our tree early, and at a substantial discount.

Great photo and it makes a change from the usual 'Gobsmacking!' shots that get posted, plus humour! More, more :-o

No comment from yourself on this one Keith, but the connection between the couple is well seen. That shirt really zings out of all the green. :)

Not only do I enjoy the switch to the 50D's utility, my EF 100-400mm (non-L) lens is used on it for almost 90% of my nature photography studies with its close focusing distance. These insect shots were taken with it handheld in August.

Cropped and tweak edited with Picasa3.

The colour balance in the butterfly shot is exquisite. Almost like a piece of graphic design! Love it. You must check out Julia's work.

Great shots 'nsaldanh'! Flying to FL in a couple of weeks and taking the 50D! Winter is starting real wet here. :(
