I went out for a couple hours on Friday night to do a time lapse of the Milky Way, but before I set up my camera for hours of shooting I wanted another go at a Milky Way Panorama. Comments are always encouraged. :) Thanks for looking.

Time well spent and nice work.
Give more details, how many shoots, vertical or landscape? EXIF of individual frames?
All I can say is I love it.
MW is perfectly shown.
May be you could show more along the Y axis to add more to land.

Then any link to your Time-lapse if you have already upload it to Youtube?

Seems way too much noise to the left compared to the right - having said that it is still bloody impressive.

This was 7 vertical shots at 24mm, f/4 and ISO 6400 for 25" seconds. The Milky Way was already really high in the sky so I barely captured some foreground in the middle. For the time lapse, It won't be done for some time now as I've only made two outings. Next week I'm heading out again and I'll be taking more photos for the time lapse video, so hopefully I'll have enough shots to put together a video. :) I'll post it here when I finish.

Gutterscum, a car driving with its high beams on more than a mile away was illuminating the foreground on the left which was only 30'-50' away. The foreground on the right tapered off very quickly so by the time I took the following pictures the car was gone.

Please don't think for a moment I was criticising.....far from it. I am nowhere near as good as you. Was just wondering.

I didn't think for a second you were criticizing my shot. I was merely trying to better explain the noise. I'm glad you like the shot and thanks a lot for looking. :)
