NOTE - I did not take this photograph.

In my opinion this is the most beautiful, perfectly engineered piece of machinery on the market today.

I am hoping that others here also appreciate the beauty.
Has anyone had the opportunity to photograph a 911?
Show them!

i think these are nice cars, and ive always wanted one, but i think there is more bang for your buck, and better tech out there than the 911's

you could get two new bmw 325's one and a half m3's...almost an m5, an m3 and a srt-4...a three mustang gt's, a corvette and a mustang, a few 350Z's a used ferrarri, or any number of other sweet cars for the base price of a 911.

ah, the M3 has more hp, as does the m5, corvette...now im not tryin to start a war here...I like the car. I understand that german cars are at the head of the pack, and most domestics cant even compare. Im also not comparing handling so much as straightline power. Im not claiming to know everything. Im just sayin, If i had 70 large and a need for speed, Id be compelled to buy a Harley, (10grand) a boat ( say 20 Grand) A truck to pull it with (used, lets say 10 Grand) and a new gto (30 grand) or a mustang or something along those lines......but lets not get off track... I love porshes, and the thought of driving one puts a smile on my face regardless. And this is a beautiful pic of a beautiful car.

Raw HP, you may be correct, but raw power means nothing if the rest is not perfect and tuned well. I’m not trying to start a war either, however, with ALL aspects of the car considered, the 911 I believe is the best production built “race” car. Race being the key word, it is perfectly tuned for all aspects of an intense circuit race, while other cars (those mentioned above may have a faster top speed)

Anyways, let’s see the pics people have taken of the Porsche!

the porsche 911 is the only german car i actually like and respect everything else is poser crap.... but that being you could buy a STI or a EVO for about 30k and take it out to a track and give that porsche a run for its money any day of the week... those are pretty much race cars with a stero for the consumer almost indentical to the pro rally ones

porsche's are excellent cars and i will get one.. someday. but for now i would agree with Mikeisbeast, i can get a STI or an EVO and keep up withthe porsche at least till around 145mph or so. however, with the amount of money saved the STI can be modded to even excel the porsche performance and it would still be cheaper.

i'd still prefer a porsche though. chicks dig porsche.

ur all wrong:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

on a more serious note, the 911 is a precise balance between power, handling and styling, something ,ost other cars cant achieve imo. the only other cars which come close in all areas would be a 360 - f430 which id take over any car ever :).

on the other hand an evo 9 or new sti would be brilliant and u would probably enjoy yourself more in one of them i rekon since u wouldnt be as worried about pushing it to its limits. now whos gonna transfer 56k into my account for an evo 9??

Porsche themselves slapped on a LSD on the Cayman, and it ran a faster laptime on the ring than the 911:p. it was in Car magazine (..mighta been Top Gear) last year.
