im contemplating a change to my logo, going with a more minimalistic cleaner look.

do you like either of these or prefer my current one?

#1 for me. The box corners in 2 are just repeating the black box and I don't like logos with cursive except Coca Cola :-)

#1, but align the line to the edges of the "Michael Alestra" text, if you even include the line at all :)

Based on your work, I would say #1. Your current logo looks like a child/family photographer logo, not really what you shoot, correct?

yes, that's part of the reason for the redesign, my logo doesn't really mimic my style. i need something a bit more all encompassing.

#1 and why did you skip the space between Michael and Alestra? Even with the Bold-normal transistion I had to look twice before I got your name right.... Or is that the trick up your sleeve.. :)

no tricks, i think it looks better without the space, it almost seems redundant with the bold-normal transition AND a space. just like i think for some reason my first name looks better bold than my last, not sure why...

Between #1 & #2 I prefer the 2nd one. My suggestion is that you use the same font for your first & last names.

I want to guest blog on your Landscape / Travel photography blog, PM for details

I'm an old guy who likes the first one but would prefer a space between your first and last name. That could well because of my age.
