Hi All,

Spent the weekend at Pictou Lodge, just outside Pictou, Nova Scotia. There were a lot of bald eagles in the air, and some were patient enough to let me get some photos.

This is really the first outside use of my new 150-500mm lens. Comments are definitely welcome.

They are, I like the last one, I think it is the only Eagle I have seen in flowers. Excellent set!

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. The one in the grass was really interesting. I didn't see the bird until I was nearly on top of it ... I was distracted watching the ones in the trees.

I like all of them. The leafy backgrounds seem to work best, esthetically, perhaps because these birds don't have much color of their own.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Very nice portraits Gunner!

Thanks! It was a blast to try and inch ever closer without disturbing the birds. I will keep the resolution limit in mind for future posts.
