Logo Critique please

I tried to keep it as simple as possible and I'm not terribly experienced at the graphic design side of things. This would be replacing a current logo that is in a more script like font that I am thinking now is too fiddly.

I prefer your light version better. To me blue goes with white while red goes with black better.

Looks good to me, the white definitely goes better.
Perhaps you could try having 'AARON' is a more script style font and see what thats like

Thanks guys I am still playing around trying to find something I really like. I'll try some different fonts on a similar logo layout.

You should make all the O's into aperture blades.

You are using the same type for the whole thing, so it kind of clashes.

Try a mix of bold/light, like this one here:

Also, make sure the leading/gaps between the lines is consistent with, the splitter line is closer to your name, ideally you'd like it centred, or flush with your name.
