Here are few shots out of many clicked off earlier today around the NYC / Newark area....

Comments welcomed and encouraged. First aviation shoot at all. Be gentle.

I really like the second container shot. I like the contrast in color. Great set.

Nice shots. I really like the "portrait" shot of the 747. Nice color on the containerstoo. Too bad the tug gets lost in the busy city background.

Y'all are too funny...... I'm not sure why I like those containers either.. but the sun hit them just right... and well... I SHOT THEM! :-)

All the airliner shots were taken at Newark Airport... I had to drive around, and around just to get a decent angle... not a convenient place to shoot.... Route 1 on one side and the NJ Turnpike on the other.... guess that's what the 100-400 is for.. :-)

Never thought the containers would have been a "hit".... but I keep looking at em myself... sometimes I hate them, and other times I think they are cool. Either way... glad you like them... they were shot at Elizabeth Seaport. I was really bored and drove down narrow roads by the Hudson River (or whatever water is there... maybe Arthur's Kill) to get those shots.... as well as dodging 18-wheelers whizzing by...

Thanks for the feedback! I really do appreciate it....
Gary

I know... unfortunately... that was the only perspective I had... I zoomed as close as I could... it was really rather far away. I might still play with that one to bring the tug out a little bit more... but otherwise... really just tweaked the contrast a bit...

Thanks for the comment! :-)

New Jersey: "Shoot first, & ask questions later?" :D Good policy. The more you think about not taking a shot later, the more chances that the one you didn't take becomes the one that got away. ;)
Nice shots!

Nice shots!

Thanks Frank! It's always better to shoot first... :-) Something I learned along the way..... if you see it, shoot it... along the lines of your thinking :-)

Thanks again..
