I use Canon gear...have several bodies and lenses and am quite pleased with them.

Scam/bait and switch sites come and go all the time, just search the domain plus the word scam to check out any site.

There has been many discussions over on the marketwatch board around ryther recently. I am not sure what the final consensus was.

How can this outfit sell bodies at these prices?

The short answer is - just because the website says they are, doesn't mean they actually do.

Also - have you seen the prices for "accessories"..? $280 for a battery? (And yet $299 for a 580EXII??!) $600 for a 5-year guarantee? $90 for a USB2 card reader?

This is classic bait-and-switch territory - avoid at all costs.

7D, 450D | 17-55, 10-22, 55-250, 50 1.8, 580EXII | YN568II | YN622 x3 | Magic Lantern | (Still) Jonesing for a 70-200 2.8...
Turns out a gripped 7D + 622 + 580exII + 70-200 2.8 IS MK2 is BLOODY HEAVY! Who knew?!!

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=292688, go down about 1/2 way for my analogy of bait and switch. Googling for the detailed description yields this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bait-and-switch (external link).

One day when I have some free time - I'm going to try buying from them just to hear their pitch.
