I just returned home after a week long cruise and another few days driving through "the last frontier" to Denali National Park. Rented a 16-35L and 100-400L for the trip

That shot of McKinley is awesome.

Some of the others are nice too, but have too much of an HDR effect.

Yes the view was amazing, apparently most people don't get to see the full mountain as it is normally obscured by clouds. We got quite lucky with the weather!

The shot of Mt McKinley is awesome, looks as if the weather cooperated for you. I will be leaving for the same locations in 3 weeks, having trouble sleeping now, these photos will not help with my problem.
Which lens did you find yourself using the most and what transportation did you use to get the pic of McKinley?

Fantastic captures!

I want to go back! The trip through Denali is breathtaking at every turn. You realize you are all but a little dot on the face of the earth when you're in the park.

Wow...the shot of the big mountain is surreal. I was there in 07 and spent 4 days at Teknalika....never saw the mountain a single time. Until on the last day - on the way out - from the last possible viewpoint heading out of the park (checkpoint near mile 9). I was in awe...but we were over 100 miles away and it didnt look ANYTHING like your photo!

Great shot!

I used the 16-35 for the majority of the photos, but it was definitely a plus to have a fairly long zoom (the 100-400). The only way for the public to get that far into the park is their 8 hour wilderness tour. It was a very long and dusty bus ride but completely worth it to get that close to the mountain (still about 35 miles from it :D )
