I really hadn't used it that much since adding the Nik software to LR/PS system; but the last week or so I've had some need to use HDR to get the range of the scene.

This was my first attempt...

The process was simple enough, kick it out from LR through the export, a handful of clicks and right back into LR.

My 2nd attempt is what really impressed me...

I tend to shoot many of my HDRs handheld, so I set the ghosting removal to the maximum, and the part that really strikes me about this is out of 5 photos that flag never looked the same twice, and instead of having a ghosting mess like I've come to expect with such details; it is crisp and clear.

Photomatix is a has-been. I, along with many people, have commented they no longer use it. I use Oloneo and the Nik app. Both do a better job than Photomatix, with Nik usually coming out on top.

My only criticism of the Nik app is the radio buttons in the effects section where variable sliders would be much better.
