Going to Yosemite in California, do you have any suggestions as to where to stay in Yosemite or around there? Thanks.

THe Redwoods (external link)is a very nice little community of cottages minutes away from the valley floor entrance. Bit pricy but well worth it.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Of course, you could stay within the park itself: https://gc.synxis.com/rez.aspx?Chain=398&Dest=YOS2 (external link)

I stayed at the Yosemite Lodge in February. It is in walking distance to cafeteria and Yosemite Falls. If you stay outside of the park you might pay less per night but you will spend 45-60 mins each way of driving.

I want to guest blog on your Landscape / Travel photography blog, PM for details

The Nature & Landscapes Talk forum has threads where lodging in or near the park was discussed at greater length. To stay in the Valley, you must reserve a few months ahead unless you're going in winter.

It can be somewhat difficult to find space inside Yosemite, unless you reserved well in advance.

You could try communities somewhat close to Yosemite, such as Mariposa.

We found a nice place to stay near El Portal, southwest of the valley. The drive along the Merced River to get there and back was really superb for scenery. I believe the hotel we stayed at was the Yosemite View Lodge, located on Hwy 140, east of El Portal.

There is a very wide range of lodging available depending on your budget. The cheapest way is camping in the park by your car which was $20 when I did it a couple years ago. But the sites sell out in literally minutes and you have to book about 5-6 months ahead.

Cedar Lodge is about 5 miles from the west entrance. I've stayed there a few times and it was pleasant, plus there's a restaurant on the premise.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
