Wanting to enter a B&W into a magazine comp.

Which image you would you suggest I enter and why? Why would I not enter the others.

I ask to not only choose an image, but to also continue my learning.

Thanks in advance

#2 has a clean look to it. I like the symmetry.

No. 2, for the symmetry, clarity and that stark horizon. Love it.

Devil's advocate, but I love No1.
The framing suits the subject too.
I like the stormy sky and waves on the left, leading to the serene calm on the right in both sky and water.
The stark finger pointing up cuts the horizon fine for me.
Mind you, I'd also be delighted to have 2 & 3 in my collection (although I would crop the top RH dark cloud out).
Tough decision.

Tons of enthusiasm, loads of kit, limited skill...

#2 for me because of the symmetry, the simplicity and the overall composition and framing.

#1 is good, although I feel it lacks a little foreground interest. #3 is the weakest of the bunch.

The second one is really great.

While I think #2 is a great shot, I know that I myself have seen very similar shots again and again. If I was entering one of these in a contest, I'd go with either #1, or #3 (but maybe a different crop on #3). I just think #2's general image has been seen too many times.

#2. More because of some weaknesses in post of 1 and 3.. Both have clear white lines around the the edges of the wreck, most noticable around the part that goes vertically in the sky.. over sharpened or bad edge selection..
If that would be fixed it would be #1 for me.

Definitely number 2, which I really like.

The white outlines are the first thing I see on numbers 1 and 3. The sky is more interesting in number 1. That angle is suited to landscape but it would benefit from being lower in the frame if there was more sky to work with.
