In reality i'm still very new to bug macro, i actually used no extension tubes on this (i currently only have a 12mm, picking up a larger one soon) this is just a 100L on a 60D with my homemade pop up flash diffuser (which still needs work, still a bit harsh IMO) I typically like to hang in the F8 to F10 range if i can help it without cranking the ISO too high (like to stay in the 200 range if i can) while maintaining a SS of about 1/80 to 1/200 depending on available light.JD

This is indeed a significant crop from the original pic, still shot at 1:1 but cropped to make it look larger than life. I give a lot of credit to the lens and the camera and the settings i have learned, it helps a ton JD
