I just got off the Ridge fire in Idaho, took some photos, figured I'd share before I head back up for another fire tomorrow.

Nice shots of a situation the rest of us never see. Most NORMAL people head the other way when faced with a fire that size. Those of us who are largely landscape photographers really appreciate what the fire crews do to protect the pristine areas we enjoy so much.

Wow, I really like #3. This reminds me of the massive fires that sweapt across Cle Elum/Ellensburg/Wenatc​hee last summer in WA. I lived in Ellensburg at the time and the air quality was so terrible for over two weeks. I couldn't go outside without covering my face. It was scary stuff and one of the worst fires in the PNW in recent times.

Some cool shots especially of the water drops. Been on alot of these fires. Always exciting. Thanks for sharing. Brings back alot of memories.:)
