Kindof new to mac and having a heck of a time trying to figure this out.

My goal is to open 2 photos and expose them exactly the same in Camera Raw.

All my 5d2 files were dumped into iPhoto on my imac. Why cant i just click multiple photos and have them open in external editor like CS5?

I need to open each one separatly to edit them, but thats not what I want to do.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Open them from Bridge. If they are Raw files you select them both, then either double-click one to open Photoshop and Camera Raw or to only open Camera Raw you can click the little aperture icon in the toolbar at the top of the Bridge window. If they are not Raw files you can right-click on one and choose "Open in Camera Raw".

From there, both files will show up in the Camera Raw "film strip". You can do the edits you want in the preview for the first image, then click "Select All" and then click "Synchronize" and you can choose which edits to "pass on". For example, you may want to Synchronize everything but a crop -- it's up to you. Alternatively, with all selected, you can press Opt and click Synchronize and then the selected images will automatically adjust together.

Tony,
I REALLY appreciate your help.
You had the solution to my problem. I just dragged the 5 photos I had into Bridge and then continued my workflow from there.

It just beg's the question, "Why is this so hard"?

Apple gets so many things right, but this is hard to swallow for me. I dont like Aperture, and Im still assuming Adobe is king of the hill in photo editing software, so why wouldnt this be a basic feature for iPhoto? Im to believe its non existent.

Anyways, thanks for the help.

Hey, I'm not an Apple user so don't have the answer! I imagine Aperture has the ability to open multiple shots in Camera Raw but I really don't know. Bridge is the thing to use, unless you have Lightroom or Aperture for your Raw processing!

And, hey, Angry Dad, just don't take those frustrations out on your kids:)!!
