Anybody buy one of these yet? I noticed a handful of online retailers started shipping them this week.

The price point makes it such a tempting purchase, but right now there are so many good camera options, it's hard to know what direction to go.

Close your eyes and concentrate. Feel the force. Be the force. See you must and purchase will come.

I think its a really cool idea. I will be curious to see some tests. One thing I diddint find on their website is whether the BM is CCD or CMOS sensor. This will probably be the new GoPro for feature films. I've seen them use MKII's as go-pro's before, but this one is a bit cheaper. Interestingly, for the Gorillaz music video "Stylo" they used a 7D in a hole to shoot the shot where the car goes off a cliff. Cool to see Canons being used mainstream :D

They also used a 7D and the 16-35 2.8L to shoot the subway scene in Black Swan! ..

But regarding the BMPCC, I think it is a great product at the price point except for one thing: the MFT mount :/ I definitely wish there was an ef option and I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Yeah, the MFT mount along with the crazy crop factor are steering me away from it.

I wish ML would hack the C100 so it can shoot 4K. Then I would stop looking around at all the camera options.

Agreed, And also one thing Im not so sure of is the touch screen menu. I find myself wanting manual buttons everywhere to make quick adjustments when changing scene, and while monitoring liveview. If you are touching the screen to change settings how can one monitor what's going on? Im guessing they want you to strap a 10" monitor to your huge aluminum rig for that? lol I'm still a fan of manual mil-spec durable switches and buttons. Touch screen is nice for apple products.
