Hi all - looking for some constructive criticism and maybe technique suggestions for monopod and long lens use. Is it just me or is no.2 straight?

Setup is 5Dc, Sigma 300(@600) with CPL for no.2. Monopod for both, braced against inside right foot - holding hood with left hand seemed to stabilise a little more. The 2x TCs are not going to retain sharpness, but your opinions on how to get the best out of them will interest me. Thanks.

It's really hard to be sure without a better reference point in the image, so as the felon said in court, "Maybe yes, & maybe no". ; )

The 2x TCs are not going to retain sharpness,

You probably should run some tests with yours. Post #5 for my experience with mine.

If it is you, you are not alone! Looks low on the left.

Nothing wrong with sharpness as far as I can see. The cricket shot is nice. The second one less so as we see the kayak man on the back. There is no way I can tell there might be tilt in #2 so no worries.

Like the cricket shot, but the people behind the batsman are distracting, I would have moved around a little, moving them to the side .Timing is good. The 2nd shot does give the impression that it slopes down on the l/h/s.
