Alright,
I'm having a hard time finding a place to ask online. So i thought i'd go back to my photography friends.

I'm trying to videotape a sporting event by having 2 webcams one aimed at Each half of the field (similar to a football field) but instead 150field long.

Any idea? I'm debating on buying 2 Logitech 930e and then running both USB cords down to a MBP and recording the data that way.

1) needs to have a USB Powered
2) Records to a laptop
3) 720p or higher
4) can drill into a poll 40 feet high.
5) no operator

If anyone has a better idea for the camera (that are cheap) let me know
I'm out of ideas.

You might look at less expensive PTZ cameras like THIS (external link). I have a similar one that I use at work. We do not record it though. It would be a lot more versatile than the fixed webcams, at a higher cost. You will need to protect any type of camera you put up.
