I took this shot while heading toward the Grand Tetons Range earlier this year. I was trying to achieve the immersive feeling that you're actually standing on the road. Do you get that feeling at all? Any advice on how to create that real life feeling?

I like it alot. The only thing I would check is the horizon looks to be tilting to the right just a little bit.

Oh, and clone out what looks like a trailer on the left side of the road.

Thanks for the reply!

I guess I missed checking the horizon, I'll correct that in Lightroom. Whats the Grand Tetons without the RVs?? ;)

So it does give you the feeling of standing right there in that moment? I'd like to practice this technique a lot more. When I have a picture like this and look at it, it's easier to slip away from the vice of reality and fantasize that I'm right there on holidays again

I really like that pic.

IMO, if you want people to feel like they are inside the scene, you've got to make it a panorama. Looking at the above, I feel like I am missing out since it is in portrait.

I agree with said above, but I also like the feel of the RV in the picture....

I like the second posting - the wider view gives a better idea of the area you are in. I've read that portrait oriented landscapes create tension, whatever that is. Perhaps that's what fsbk366 is expressing?

I do think it's a bit dark with too much drama in the sky. And the histogram in LR shows that. Those clouds don't say big storm coming to me.

I prefer the second picture but it seems just a tad too dark.
