I've posted her randomly about but have never given her her own thread, i feel she deserves it.
Found her as a stray 10 years ago, abandoned and alone, we took her in, posted flyers but no responses. So we kept her and cared for her.
About 2 years ago she developed diabetes, a difficult decision had to be made, give her the shots or put her down. My vet wasn't very optimistic of her survival. Well, with my extreme love of animals and my never say die mentality i chose option A.
Here we are 2 years later and she's stronger than ever. Her insulin doses go down by the month due to hardcore research and diet modifications. My vet is mind blown at her progress. He told me one day "Most people give up before the first year". To me giving up is not an option, she is the most compassionate and loyal dog i've ever owned.
My goal is to beat this diabetes thing by the end of the year.
