Summer rec league photos

The summer leagues will be wrapping up shortly, here's a sampling of the different sports in play. C&C welcome!

#1 - Beach Volleyball

Wow, looks like a lot of fun in this league, does everyone do everything? I am sure the folks love the great shots of themselves in action.

^Thanks Don, there are some keeners who play multiple sports a week. Apparently recovery time decreases with age..?

I don't get a lot of feedback from the photos, they get posted to the club website. Once upon a time they were posting to Facebook but that seems to have stopped. I saw some people use them as profile pics but they didn't generate a lot of comments either.

All shot with 7D and Sigma 100-300/4, by the way.

Comments are are rare as hens teeth but the organizers are usually pretty appreciative.

Nice. I shoot an adult rec sport league as well. I'll post some once I'm home. I have access to post to their FB since their site doesn't get updated often with new images.

Thanks, it really is nice being able to get out and about in the summer.

During the fall / winter season the dungeons that they call gyms tend to get old real fast.

^If you are able to get lower, do it because it looks like you are towering over everyone. I do break that rule myself occasionally when I get close to action and need to move in case the ball and / or players are getting too close for comfort.

Shoot tight and crop tighter, #3 has great action but the impact is lost with other players being in the frame. Keep at it and I'm sure you're having fun as I am!

Oh, and for the sake of being eclectic (and to make up the 8 images per thread limit), here's one from today's 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Shot with 1D Mark II and Sigma 70-200/2.8 II.
