Seems to me the gear is being used to prop whatever that is up? Seems like other items could have been used if that's what the point was.

I carry the fake Lens mugs for that. Also to throw at the subjects when we first start, completely throws them off and breaks the ice in.

Just don't hit them in the face.

Yeah...

I looked at the picture for 2 minutes trying to figure out what's going on.

If everybody owned just one camera, all the "show us your camera bags" threads would be empty.
