You might consider a converter for your 70 - 200 f4 try hiring one to see if it does what you want

Look at the Canon website. Look up your lens and check the "spec" page. Last item is compatability with TC's.

Just remember a 1.4x will make your widest apeture f5.6 and the 2x will make it f8. Not good in low light !!!

Lovely Mexico shots. Lots of sun makes for great colours.

I've checked the canon website and it says both the 1.4 and the 2.0 x mk2 are compatible.

Great shots Andy, love the locals and the wildlife.

Wayne - what about the 70-300L that I have? or did you already ask me about it - it's a fantastic lens.

I remember trying your 70-300l Penel. It was great, but if wonder if for the difference it's worth getting the extra length.

Are you selling it then?

Lol, this looks great. I bet those guys had a great conversation about the art.

Does anyone own a Canon 100-400 L that they can offer some opinions on please?

I have one. You are more than welcome to borrow it for a few days.

I had people with very strong views about the 70-200 2.8 threaten me when I mentioned getting one before. Lol

Really? For good or bad reasons? You'd have to prise mine from my cold dead hands :D

nope. Although I don't use it very often, I might need it. I think I"m a bit of a hoarder.

I am still trying to sell that Kenko 1.4x though if anyone is interested - it cost me £100 and I'm selling it for £85.
