Quick question about my PP...........A friend has lent me a Macbook Pro he is selling for me to have a play with while he's on holiday. He commented the other day that my final images are a tad on the dark side when he looks at them on his iMac but look ok to him on my Dell laptop.

Anyone else finding this when looking at shots I post?

Tonight's job is to load LR5 on the Macbook and transfer some RAW shots to it to PP on that. Guess we'll see but any comments would be nice.

It's not really an issue of PC vs Mac, it's all about monitor calibration. Get hold of one of these. If you don't fancy shelling out £119 then look on eBay for the previous Spyder3 Pro. If you only intend to use it on one device, you can go for the cheaper Express version. Finally, I'd consider using an external monitor - the built in laptop ones never seem to cut it for me.

Spent the weekend driving around Normandy. Pretty rubbish weather, but the food and wine were good (as they always are in France). Went to the American Military Cemetery. I'm not really one for sentiment, but it was a very moving experience. When I saw this particular one though, I was literally brought to tears...

Nice shot. It's hard not to be moved by that place. The Commonwealth cemeteries are also impressive and moving places.

Our 'lot' were at Donington Park over the weekend along with the Jaguars and Triumphs, A Little damp to start off with but it soon cleared up and another full weekend of walking the circuit with the odd photo or three ensued :thumbsup:

Few random picks. All handheld, 1Dmk4 with 70-200 2.8 mk2 plus mk3 1.4 extender.

#1 - 1/100, f/5.6, iso 100, 145mm - brief background, the guy built the car and got fed up with people saying it must be full of filler - so he sand blasted it all and runs it 'naked' Pretty quick as well

#2 - 1/250, f/5.6, iso 100, 280mm, +1/3 EV Still makes me weak at the knees - Baby Bertha barking orders

Having a crap day other than that, the chicken house has red mite so I"ve spent ages cleaning and spraying it and spilling diet coke all over myself by mistake

If I go home and show her to Nicki..........I know she'll have a home like a shot!!

too true, when we open up a new imac at work the first thing I do is calibrate it, (we use i1Pro's) once done the difference from out of the box to calibrated is quite a lot, it never ceases to amaze me that people buy a Mac and think it comes with some sort of colour correct monitor, all monitors that you edit colour on need to be calibrated no mater what type they are, I think that a computer screen these days is as important as all the fancy camera/lens we buy..

aah lovely doggies Penel, I couldn't photograph homeless dogs or I would just have to take them all home with me.. in fact im surprised you haven't done exactly that!
