Agh! I should not type so much even using my second finger not index ain't helping.

I had more trouble with the finger I injured at the end of July...........long story > short. I saw the A&E consultant this morning and he had to "operate" on it to clean it up so back to stitches and dressing again, not a happy and tad sorry for myself especially as unlike last time it is throbbingly pained.......do not like taking pills but also back on the antibiotics and will need painkillers soon as the local is really wearing off now!

Fingers crossed it gets better soon......pardon the pun

Mark well done on getting your vole shoots in the paper, I've just got my copy of Digital SLR Photography on the door mat found my photo on page 75 feeling quite pleased with myself only to find when I leafed through the rest of it that Your on pages 42-45 with some deer photos I think the words " bloody Bridger!!!!" may of escaped my lips , well done.

This very needed extra step has resulted in it being more painful than the original injury et al combined, the consultant that did the job this time has a surgical background (a Mr not a Dr) and interestingly specialises in injuries to the hand so I was confident I was in 'good hands'.

For those that cannot stand gory details I will keep them to myself suffice to say there was a stitch fragment and even some tiny bits of garden debris he removed but I am due to see him again on Monday so hopefully it will be properly well on the mend by then...............and stitches out I hope by Thursday

The really annoying thing is that it is my right index finger and I am right handed!

It still amazes me no matter which finger you hurt, we dont apreciate just how much we use each and every one until you hurt it.

Had a similar experience a few years ago with a cyst that went dodgey and was supposed to have been dealt with by 2 doctors at the hospital and ended up twice as bad, but once someone that knew what they were doing dealt with it, it healed up really quickly.

We, a friend and I, were asked to exhibit at our twin town's annual photo festival. It's a huge deal over here in Germany and there are posters about us all over town, it's quite surreal.

We're exhibiting pictures from our Tunbridge Wells Project, pictures of bleak locations that fit in with the location we've been given, which is an old prison. It's quite fantastic!

The exhibition is on for three weeks but we're only here for four days.

spent a pleasant few hours in Richmond Park this morning - not a lot of action going on, but did hear reports of a Kingfisher and 3 chicks as well as a Juvenile Hobby present on the ponds

should be good in a few weeks when the rut starts though I fear it will be busier with photographers than ever...

Sounds like very nice recognition because as you say town twinning AFAIK is taken more seriously by our continental cousins ~ so congrats and don't forget to get copy of the poster and 'post' it here

This deer image is the best of the 3 because it has er the magic number of 3 in it

As for the Mantis/Mantids that high key method does seem to give them a certain something.......super images

Re the shutter finger ~ thanks hopefully give it a test or two soon but October in Richmond Park or maybe even Knole is looking appealing???
