Anyone selling on Amazon? If so, how has it worked for you? Are freelance artists required to have a tax ID to sell?

Thanks for any feedback.

I saw the announcement last week. From early glances some of the prices are what you would expect to see at some galleries.

I never sold anything on Amazon but I do participate in their affiliate program. If you are an individual you must provide your SSN and if you are a company you need to provide EIN. I am sure similar would apply for sellers.

I am all over that. Those are definitely gallery prices for some of that stuff. I will have to look over the TOS and see what it says.
Anyone selling art:
There absolutely no reason not to take advantage of Amazons mighty online presence.

I just tried to list one of my photographs printed to canvas without success. The "Upload image(s)" button was dead so I was not able to upload any photos of the canvas. So, I continued through the steps inputting all the pertinent information only to find another dead submit button at the end.

I thought it was kind of odd when you search "atlanta photo", "atlanta picture", "atlanta pictures", etc... on Amazon, you literary get no results
If you search "New York pictures framed" you get a couple of poster prints.

Another thing is the categories. There is not an art / photograph section, but an art section with different supplies as the sub categories.

If anyone has success, please post up.

Thank you.

I'm pretty sure that the regular sell on amazon path isn't for actual art, the category is definitely not available through that. Not sure where to go from there

I'm seeing the same thing...looking though

EOS 6d, 7dMKII, Tokina 11-16, Tokina 16-28, Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8, Sigma 17-50 F/2.8, Canon 24-70mm F/2.8L, Canon 70-200 F/2.8L, Mixed Speedlites and other stuff.

When it ceases to be fun, it will be time to walk away
