I can't help but notice a price drop for this lens ever since it came out as a kit lens with 5D markiii.
$600-700 shipped for a new one, thats a great price for a great lens. Is it just me or are there planty of fishy kits out there for well below market value??

Supply and demand, and the supply side is flooded with them. Great lens, so buyers are in a good position right now.

Another interesting way to look at these: this entire lens is currently selling for $600 at times, which is nearly what the IS mechanism alone is worth in the 70-200's amd the 100mm macros. The price difference between the IS and non-IS versions is often about $500 in those...

Yup, supply and demand. The fact that some eBay retailers were recently selling brand new 24-105s for $650 really killed the market for individual sellers (like me). :)

In the end, eBay sellers will get less than what they sold it for after shipping and those ridiculous eBay and PayPal fees.

Craigslist is the way to go!
The Pro-100 printer with paper is only $100 in the Los Angeles area.

It's been a kit lens with the 5D, 5D2, and 5D3. There's a lot of them. They even sell them separate too.

Absolutely - and that's been since August, 2005 or thereabouts. So there's bound to be a ton on the market. A very, very good lens for an even better price THESE days.;)

Yeah, I purchased mine out of a 5D MkII kit for $830 about a year ago. Kicking myself now, even though mine was never used. Wonderful lens though, so not complaining whatsoever.
