Fantastic shots sugarzebra. How close were you and what lens did you use?

Nice photos. Love the color in the first one. Hope you weren't as close to the moose as it looks in the last 2 shots - they are very fast and can be quite dangerous.

Love the last one especilly, Scott....i always love closeups. The water falling off his head when he looked up is great!now the first one is the type of pic Robert Bateman used to paint....and in the same area.....very nice.

Thanks cdiver2. The first was a 70-200/2.8 IS, the second a 500/4 and the last two were with a 600/4 II with 2xTC III (and all were hand held from a small boat).

Thanks FPP and I think we were about 150' away, but it felt fine being in a boat. I was charged by a young bull a couple of years ago so am still pretty wary when on land :)

Thanks Ian.....I'm like you and tend to do the close ups, however the environmental shots are great too as long as you remember to take them :)

Awesome shots! I like them all, but #1 is really cool with the reflections in the water.

Agreed! Also the crepuscular rays are kind of neat too.

Thanks again Ian. I have a few images with the crepuscular rays reflecting in the water, which at the time I thought would be really good, however they don't look all that great with the horizon in the middle of the image....I'll keep playing with them :)

Thanks Jeff....these were taken in early June, however our cottage is in Muskoka so my wife and spend a lot of time in the park....but haven't gone a wolf howl yet! (an annual pass is only $150 so we get up a fair bit in the winter as well. Its a fabulous place for photography).
