I can't help with locations, but I'm going to be in Bellevue during the same time period. Small world.

Edit. I just noticed this was from last year, did you find any interesting locations?

I had my office in Bellevue for 20 years, not much there. What do you want to photograph?

I'm accross the canal just south of Ballard, the town Seattle usurped in 1907.

Didn't have anything in mind. My wife has a meeting and I get to tag along for the trip.

Pikes Market in Seattle is an interesting place to go. Also, do the Seattle Underground Walk, you get to see some interesting places, that most people don't even know about. Did you know that the front door on a lot of older buildings in Downtown Seattle are actually on the 2nd story, the original front doors are actually below modern day ground level?

You can also do some day cruises if you ware interested in Whale Watching, or visiting some of the small Islands. http://www.viator.com …d704-g3?pref=02&aid=g1323 (external link)

I'll suggest the Marymoor Velodrome and Marymoor park in Redmond. Also there is a boardwalk to a dock at the north end of Lake Sammamish and a dog walking trail. Plus the Burke Gillman trail connection along the Sammamish Slough.

Then Snoqualmie Falls is not too far east from Redmond (used to seem closer until Redmond got so built up over the last decade or two).

South end of Bellevue there is a planked trail system under the I-90 freeway system where you can find marsh birds and critters around Lake Washington.

Lots to see and do if you know how to look for small hidden places.

As an Seattle ex-pat, if you have a moment, I'd love to know where you (Rebyer) ended up taking photos!

(My suggestion would have been the classic structures: Gasworks, the Fremont Troll, the Olympic Sculpture Park, the Pi in the Sky sculpture if it's still around).

Well I'm back from seattle. Between the rain and having to run my wife different places I didn't get a chance to shoot anything interesting. I didn't think to bring anything to keep the camera dry. I told her we need to go back and do the things I want. I saw Mt Ranier from the plane and want to check out that area

You are one unlucky soul. It's rained about 2 days since mid June.
