I wish...

I'm the boss, if I am not here nothing gets done.

So you say! In many circumstances, if the boss does your job it gets completely messed up. Ask practically any shipping clerk.

My motto: never let the boss think he can tell you what to do. If he knew how to do it, he wouldn't have hired you.

Still looks plenty crowded. Seems like everyone is enjoying themselves and police are putting on a friendly face. ;)

when i go there on my lunch break, it is perfect timing to see the elite men's and women's runners. before i go to lunch the wheelchair elite have already finished and won.

and from about 1pm the semi pros will be coming in, then the trickling in of the amateurs.

around 1:30-2pm will be the start of the masses of amateurs

normally there is a cap of 27,000 runners, but because of last year, the unfinished runners, the 1st responders, drs, nurses running, the injured running etc. they allowed 36,000 runners this year.

someone we know was running last year, crossed the line, explosions happened, literally ran straight to the hospital (whats a mile more when you've done 26?) - he was a trauma surgeon straight into action... so i believe he is running this year again too...

A retiring boss warrants two parties: one the day he's leaving to celebrate his retirement; and one the day after he leaves to celebrate that he's finally gone!

Dang! Cheers to him on his dedication. :)

The boss should hope those two days are as far apart as possible. ;)

Also means I get blamed for everything.

Every company needs a sign that says "Scapegoat". Each week the sign is passed to a different person. When something goes wrong, whoever has the sign gets yelled at.

When it's your week, you can tolerate it because it's only for a week. When it's not your week, hey! It's somebody else's problem!

That's an excellent idea.
