what would you use it for?

At water parks with the kids, hiking through the mountains and drive through animal safaris. I also like the slow-mo options.

The water park is the main reason. I have a water proof case for my phone but it's hard to use and it over heats easily. I never use my DSLR's at water parks.

I like the IS option, low light capabilities and the fact that the AV100 is splash proof without the case. I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything by not getting the GoPro.

One from this weekend. A friend of ours captured this. Mayra and I had gone for a 35 mile ride yesterday. Her training for her first bike race in three years when we go to italy in september. Freak accident at the half way point. She was starting to clip back into the left side and accidentally shifted her whole weight to the right causing her to fall pretty hard. So basically it was almost a standing still fall in which she barely had move forward a foot. However, three fingers on her right hand took the brunt of her weight as she tried to brace her self. In this moment Mayra and I had just finished our ride. She toughed it out climbing over 1,000 ft on the return route on basically one hand. I had options to call for pick up but she said lets see how it goes and not once mentioned the help. Here she is icing her hand while we speak.
