 Well the good thing is she met me as a photographer and she also has a very nice road bike. She was actually pushing me on Friday at B&H to walk out with the A7s but i told her i needed to do more research. :)

Bikes and Cameras i can spend without a problem. Issue is when i want to spend on other things and then these two other things get mentioned!

So, we may eventually see you biking around with the camera on your shoulder, but naked, skinny, and homeless. ;)

Thanks Jake! It will take some time getting used to just how small this camera is and the viewfinder is super crisp as well. When will you be picking up an A7 series camera? :)

What!!! I don't believe what I'm reading here! Nah this must be some sort of hoax! (Checks calendar and it's not April 1)

On a more serious note. Good for you man. You are pumping out good work so why change what isn't broken? :)

I will be taking the cam out for portraits tomorrow. Of course Mayra will be the model :)

Those are sweet rides!

Yes, and it didn't go to waste ;)

There's a lot to be said for a sweet voice. I had a GF with a very soft, sweet voice. Unlike listening to a lot of women, I used to enjoy it when she'd talk.

ahhh. congrats to you too!! maybe u and Omar can have a dual wedding :P

hmm.. good point. did it ever get old to you? I'm sure a good excuse to tell the girl if you happen to fall asleep during a call is that her angelic voice put your mind to rest. well that's good to say anytime eheh

We should link up and shoot when you come to New York if you have time. Just hit me up :D

I picked up the Sony Zeiss 55 F/1.8. They are calling it a mini Zeiss 55 Otus in IQ quality.

Here she is riding in the winter:

Bikes and Cameras i can spend without a problem. Issue is when i want to spend on other things and then these two other things get mentioned!

DONE!

I see it as a mini D3s (obviously without the focusing speed). The ISO performance is fantastic.

Haters will always be around if its not the camera for them. Only to pump up w/e they own. Its comedy really.

Picked up the native 55 f/1.8 it has amazing reviews both from review sites and Dxo. It is being called the mini Zeiss Outus! Then i will look at the 35 f/2.8 for the italy trip in september.

Yup the batteries are so small. Its obvious they can hold a mega amount of charge. So the two are nice. I will pick up a third. They weigh nothing! I never used OEM straps so it will stay in the box unopened. I will look for a markins plate to put on it and find a nice hand strap like i have with the 5dmkIII. Thats how i like to go out and shoot. Bags will be interesting. I will venture back to B&H. They have every single bag out so you can try out. Lets see which one fits the bill.

The A7s is a speed demon. Seeing the live view next to the A7r/A7 and it was a very big difference. Even focusing speed had a very large difference. In a perfect world i would own the A7s and the A7r. Sometimes you want the extra MP.

yeah the 55 1.8 is really something. it renders very nicely too. some situations the bokeh doesn't look too nice though but overall its still an awesome lens to go with the a7. of course the 35 is super sharp and the size is just awesome :P

so lucky to live by b&h to try out the gears. though it's also nice to live far and not pay tax eheh. I was looking into the tt retro 5. the bulkiness is something to think about and its a bit heavy because of the heavy duty materials. think thank also came out with the mirrorless movers. the price is pretty good but I didn't like how the innovations and how it opens up. I do like the domke f802 but it also seems big.

please let me know which bag you decide on. I need to get one soon.

2 years ago  i don't know if i could last a month living in NYC with BH so close...

That would be really fun. i don't know the exact dates yet but i do know ill be there for a few days with nothing to do but shoot.

I'm moving to canada with 0 surf so i want to distract myself with nature stuff like doing short clips with time lapses and stuff like that. My heart is telling me i need a dedicated video camera... my mind is telling me the 5d3 is way more then capable.

i do want to get a little portable slider though.

Pretty remarkable for how tiny the lens is! I def need a 35 added to the kit. I could always get the metabones and just use the sigma 35 art but that's not as small

In terms of tax not too much of a hassle. I have lots of friends in NJ ;)

I have to def get a bag. For now I will carry it in my domke F803s. Way too large of a bag for this camera but it's a stop gap. Will go back and do more research at the store :)

Any good hand straps for the A7 series? I use the canon one on the 5d instead of a neck strap and love it. Wondering if something similar exists. Also ordering the markins plate as well.
