That would be really fun. i don't know the exact dates yet but i do know ill be there for a few days with nothing to do but shoot.

I'm moving to canada with 0 surf so i want to distract myself with nature stuff like doing short clips with time lapses and stuff like that. My heart is telling me i need a dedicated video camera... my mind is telling me the 5d3 is way more then capable.

i do want to get a little portable slider though.

Yeah this November would hit two years. I'm shocked as well it helps not going any where near the store. I was doing a good job until the A7s came out and I used on Friday. So much for the drought

Interesting what is 0 surf? Canada is just stunning for the work you are looking to do. I think the 5d mark III is more than enough. With the right accessories and video edditingn software you should be fine. You have the lenses to take advantage of the video side as well.

LMFAOO that went right over my head

Final Cut Pro is easier to use now than in the past that's for sure.

And you have some accessories for video recording from what I remember unless you got rid of it

i have a steady cam and a rode video mic

Pretty remarkable for how tiny the lens is! I def need a 35 added to the kit. I could always get the metabones and just use the sigma 35 art but that's not as small

In terms of tax not too much of a hassle. I have lots of friends in NJ

I have to def get a bag. For now I will carry it in my domke F803s. Way too large of a bag for this camera but it's a stop gap. Will go back and do more research at the store

Any good hand straps for the A7 series? I use the canon one on the 5d instead of a neck strap and love it. Wondering if something similar exists. Also ordering the markins plate as well.

Omar i didn't find anything for the mirrorless like you have for the 5D but i am happy with my Gordy's strap, it's good assurance that you don't drop these tiny cameras

Thanks Martin it's a shame! Maybe I will just rock the canon hand strap like a certain fellow uses Nikon neck straps on canon cameras

actually my tripod is very much broke. 2 of the legs fall out and 1 of them is really hard to open and close. still useable just not like new.

What did you do to it? Didn't you and Steven get the same Gitzo... those things are supposed to be tanks? Steven's Gitzo is now Baan's, I believe.
