We were to go to Japan for the Christmas break of my grandchildren here, but we were not too happy with the tour package and the grandchildren preferred to go to the US so we are celebrating, with my daughter, SIL and three grandkids from here; Christmas and New Year in Las Vegas and returning here mid january in time for the pope and continue the vacation. So I may be able to get the camera still on sale, I fly back in two weeks.

Oh, so you're flying back to Vegas for Christmas and New Year and then back to PI for the Pope visit? But... Christmas and New Year is more fun in the Philippines.

BTW, you can update your avy to a higher res version. Limit now is 5 Mb and 150x150 box.

In theory there wasnt in the old one. The mods just closed it when it came over 10,000. I would expect something similar as well.

why though? whats wrong with having a 350000 post thread? i think that would be kinda cool.

For some reason, the 2am thread slowed to a crawl at some point in the last year. Not sure why. Seemed like a lot of people just stopped posting, and pretty much at the same time to boot. I used to post a LOT--I can't be arsed to as much now. I'm not taking photos as much either Busy busy bee, bzzz bzzzzzz.

yes we are enjoying iti is more fun in the Philippines before Christmas, all th parties and shopping, we are having a Christmas party next week in the golf course in Tagaytay highlands; so expect more pictures there, then going back to visit the other parts of the islands in January, February and March, we are skipping the Japan, Honking and Korea planned trip and the kids will enjoy winter like snowboard in Nevada/Utah.

The smallest I remember for the 5-1/4 was like 720K (as in kilobytes) and going to 1.44 Mb 3-1/2 was a HUGE upgrade. Yeah, I think usb memory sticks are up to 128 Gb (giga) or maybe even higher.

Smallest 5-1/4 I used was a 90 KB SSSD.
