My all-time favorites from that generation (late 80s to late 90s) are

1. Xenogears
2. Suikoden II
3. FF7
4. FF8

There's probably 1-2 I'm forgetting about that should be on the list. I had a huge PS1 collection, and it consisted of nothing but RPGs (including chrono trigger, FF4/5/6 collections, etc.) If there was an rpg released for the PSX, I probably owned it.

Ufff solid list. Cant complain about any of those right there!!!

I remember reading about Tales but never got to play due to having a child shortly after it came out. Same reason I didn't play anything past the sword of mana in that series. I might have to just find a refurb snes and some cartridges

I thought legend of mana looked nice but I didn't like how the game was. also saga frontier 2 was pretty good.. well I only played the beginning.. at a good story line but I got lazy hehe.

Parasite eve (first one) was a real chore to play through. The only way to explain it is like moving through molasses. Legend of mana I liked--I played that one back in 2002. Good animation, good music.

I forgot all of the persona games. Persona 2 (both versions) were really good, but really ancient compared to 4. Can't wait for Persona5 to come out.

I know i still have some of them in storage as well. Xenogears is a very high quality RPG. They dont make them like that anymore.

I didn't get into consoles until Xbox. Missed out on PS1. I was gaming on PC with Diablo and Starcraft back then.

wow really? Atari? nes? snes? genesis? turbo graphic 16 was nice too hehe

xbox is probably my favorite system.. a modded one that is. I mentioned I hate playing roms.. but its more towards pc. roms on the xbox was awesome!

but in general I don't like rpg on roms because of the save files. cant seem to save well for me. love the fast forwarding feature though ehe.

yup. the battle between the two and the scars :P

though im not a fan of squall or the gun blade.

but in ff7... when cloud got on his Harley.. bad@$$

I wonder if the remake will have the Harley or the new bike.

as far as lens go.. I am set.
