Omar, I would like to see his collection and hear his system when I visit you in NYC , one of these days :-). Vinyls are different sound and for an old man like me, bring back good memories. Some of my records I have owned for more than 40 years, a few are my dad's from 60 years ago. I am finding these records once enjoyed by people around that time too.
Read this posting on FB: And below is the current set up. I have more than 600 vinyls only, but buy at 50+ per week :-)
A nostalgic audiophile story and which sounds better: Analog or Digital ?

Tony just has to make sure that as his collection grows, the storage vault is structurally sound. ;-)a

exactly 5 inches of records is 20 lbs, That is why I may keep my library in the casita in the ground floor. I cannot get regular book case the strongest is 100 lbs limit per shelves, the vinyls if stacked closely on 36 inches book case will be 144 lbs.

Cheers,

How did we get onto vinyl? I'm actually learning the art of Dj'ing. Beat matching, tempo, pitch, transitions, so much to learn. But fun.

Been playing ChronoTrigger on Retroarch emulator. By far the best emu experience ever. Saves work just like the consoles and works with controller "out of the box". It has filters too like a crt filter which make old games look even better than when they were on the old tv.

There are too many new games out there for me to even consider going back to old games (unless FF7 Remake is considered an old game :D)

Not a big fan of any new games here. Never was a fan of console games past snes. New PC games are all just crappy console ports now too. Bleh.

I've got a list of games like 20 long. And I'll probably never get around to more than 1-2 of them. I sub on and off with the star wars mmorpg, but it just takes too much time. I haven't played a console game in about 3 years--that will change as soon as Persona5 comes out. I've been meaning to get around to playing south park:stick of truth (waiting for > $10).

I played TOR beta from June to release. It was fun. After launch, I just couldn't stay interested since people were taking forever to level.

I played until last September, have some unused timecards, so may get back into it at some point. I hear the new worlds added in the latest expansion were really good.

I was playing just after release, and it was really boring. There wasn't much to do at endgame. Totally different now.
