I played until last September, have some unused timecards, so may get back into it at some point. I hear the new worlds added in the latest expansion were really good.

I was playing just after release, and it was really boring. There wasn't much to do at endgame. Totally different now.

I logged back in a few months ago and found everything was pay gated because of the ftp model. It seemed okay but wasn't really interested in learning how to play again LOL I felt like an old fart at a playground trying to play basketball with teenagers haha

A known downside to embracing the free-to-play business model. There's a simple fix for that--join a good guild. The one I was in would run something at least 5 nights a week, 8-12. Everyone was 25+.

You only have to "pay" for features (armor unlocks, quick travel, level caps, etc) if you aren't subbed. They give you coins for subbing, and you can actually use those coins to buy unlocks if you don't sub full-time.

Yeah, well after doing the 'good guild' thing for many years it becomes a chore in itself to find a 'good' guild. Which is why I don't even bother guilding, anymore.

The first guild I was ever a part of was in SWG and THAT was a good guild. All the rest, after, sucked balls. Regardless of game.
