Nah. Kraken X61 works like a charm. Changed out the fans with Venturi which makes them easier to install in pull config (rubber grommets on the fans) and quiet too. ;-)a

Having problems with the sata ports. Did some troubleshooting and reloading drivers with tech support but no joy. So, sent it out to RMA. vmad

any noise from the pump?

when're u gonna get the replacement?

Pump noise is minimal, especially if you lower it via CAM software by NZXT which controls fan speed too. I don't hear it when covered by side panels. Fans are noisier than the pump when they ramp up. ;-)a

RMA shows it being shipped back to me. Hopefully, the SATA issues got sorted out. Fingers and toes crossed.

I wanna play some StarCraft II - Legacy of the Void on it. Yeah, I know... I'm late to the party.

Starting this build I was gonna do air but they've become massive (and blocks everything) so I looked into aio. Seems more safe than custom water cooling with fittings since the tubes are thick and glued together. As long as you're careful then aio are pretty much plug and play with no maintenance (flushing and cleaning). I'm kind of researching custom water cooling (now that I've got a taste of it with an aio :p) on a next rig but who knows. Seems like a lot of work and expense too.

I've been so out of it, I didn't realize part 3 was released for Starcraft.

I played Diablo III Reaper of Souls and kind of stopped when my laptop died . I haven't played Overwatch. That's on XB and PS along with PC, I believe.

hhehe I was looking at custom cooling too, and yes, lots of work and cost, and more chance of leaks. maybe we can use mineral oil for the coolant so if it leaks, your parts will be safe. hmmmm. go try it and let me know :P

cool, I loved diablo reapers of soul, played so much of it I got burnt out. I got up to paragon 42x and stopped, which was dam good for 2-3 month's worth of play when it started. I heard they gonna have new chars, when that happens I might chime in again. I tried playing a bit with the madman, not even sure if we played or just sent few msgs hehe.

I've heard of oil cooling engines but not in pc cooling loops. Besides, I'd think you'd need a really strong pump to push all that oil through the system. I've heard of submerged oil systems, though. Hey!... you just want a guinea pig to experiment. :p If you check your fittings/connections then you really shouldn't have leaks. There's always a risk though. -?

I had a weak character and had to grind a bit to get stronger and finish reapers of souls. Then I played for a bit trying to make a male and female of each class to win. I got burnt out too. :p

Hopefully, SC II LOTV will keep me occupied. There's also some Nova missions that can be d/l from Blizzard. ;-)a

well since you're in the works of things you might as well go onwards :P even when you check, seems along the way something happens.. broken pump or whatever. im so afraid to leave it on overnight :/

geez, how were you leveling your chars? its terrible to play story mode over and over again, that's why pre-RoS was horrible :P I played two weeks of it and stopped, when RoS came out I was hooked. Transmog was the best thing ever lol

which char did you main?

its nice to play with ppl you know, make the game private and at the end of the rifts, don't close the rift, change the char you wanna lvl and then close the rift to get the experience. make sure everyone doesn't log out together or you lose your game haha.

Will see how this goes. Custom water cooling is hella pricey. I already used up rent money on this build and lived on cup noodles to survive. :p

I played barbarian to finish. Rifts and chasing down the treasure goblin for loot helped. I'd pass on good weapons and gear through chests and the other characters picked them up... basic juggling. Like if a barbarian gets a good bow, I'll put it in the common chest. Then open up a demon hunter and pick it up from the common chest and get higher stats. I got burnt out after a bit.

I got my RMA mobo back. They didn't fix the problem. My sata port still doesn't work. Sent a complaint email and they want me to resend. SMH. Ongoing saga. vmad

In the meantime, I'm re-playing StarCraft II. Nice to play with all settings set to max. The cinematic graphics are nice even for an old game. ;-)a
