Hello everyone,

I currently use a mid 2011 MBA (13", i5) and recently bought a 6D. As you can imagine LR4 is not running extremely smoothly (but is still usable) and I was debating upgrading to a 2013 MBA (base 13"model): I think I can do it without taking too much of a financial hit.

Would this upgrade yield significant improvements?

Thanks for your help,

Jeremietard

Thanks for your reply! It gets me even more tempted to get it ; and is the fan throttling while editing pictures?

The new Air is really a strong performer with Aperture, in case you ever decide to switch. It renders my 5Dii raw files in real-time. That's something.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Thanks Tony! I've put my MBA up for sale and will see if I can find a buyer. I think purchasing the 8Go ram version may also help

If I buy it I think I'll go for the i5 version I am afraid the i7 is going to be too expensive...

Make sure the one you buy has the new "Haswell" processor and not the 3rd gen.
