If all those scientists didn't keep talking about it, you'd sure wouldn't think things were warming up. This has been one of the coldest Japanese winters in a while. This lake hasn't frozen in over 15 years. When I went out shooting, it was -10 degrees C. and my fingers are still numb from it.

Seems to be one of the warmer ones where I'm at. I like the ice in #2.

that second picture is great! how did you ever expose that shot? I would have come home with a completely blown out picture:)

Thanks! Actually, you would have probably come home with a grey looking shot. Snow needs to be taken using exposure compensation on the plus side to make the snow look white. I also used a PL filter.

Nice shots showing the extremes..
It's definately been a global extreme past 12 months in terms of weather. We were about 1.1*C warmer than usual ;)

Temps almost hitting 30*C here ;)
But humidity is the killer. It's been 94+ last few days.

Again, ill say the shots are really good. Im around quite a few people who look at weathe rpatterns and such like in my uni. In general you'l see scientists are reluctant to use the term global warming, simpy for the reason that though many places are getting warmer, some do get colder. Its far more common to refer to global climate change, as its the extremes of weather that are becoming more common, both hot and cold. Just look at the prevelance of floods, hurricanes, etc in recent times. The weather patterns around the world are all becoming far more unstable.

Still you've got some good shots form the cold id say.

great pictures i remember being at mt fugi, i didnt see nearly that much snow,
as for the global warming, we have had very very warm winters compaired to normal, i woudl say 12deg F compaired to normal, i dont believe that global warming if there is any, is entirely the fault of cars and human polution,
btw i like the 2nd pic the best.

Global Warming. Just another scare tactic by scientist to justify their jobs ;)
