Not 100% on the ID, thinking juvenile flesh fly maybe? I'm only not sure due to abdomen coloring.

Good captures - no idea on ID but it's not a juvenile flesh fly (flies emerge as adults)

Good point Brian, haha, brain was on birds when i posted this. Was given a huge bug book today, i'll dig through that after tomorrow mornings shoot an see if i can get an ID, unless someone figures it out before that :D

Finally got an ID on the little bugger, i was out in left field believing this was a type of flesh fly, turns out its a Housefly aka Musca domestica and is considered to account for 91% of all residential flies.

I find this interesting since the Green Bottle population in my yard outnumber these guys 20 to 1, and this is only the 3rd time since May (when i started doing insect macro) that i've seen them.

good shots, they seem to lack a bit of punch though. (perhaps more clarity/contrast?)

it looks like a common fly to me hehe :)
